Infinity Operation Red Veil; Unboxing

One advantage of being a warcor is getting access to certain Infinity items early, one such example (and the first warcor only item I’ve gotten thus far) is the soon to be released Infinity Operation Red Veil!

It’s much like Operation Ice Storm; two starter packs, and exclusive mini for each faction only found in the box, a limited edition pre-order mini, terrain, tokens, and scenario booklet with the basic rules. All in all, for someone who wants to get into the game it’s pretty awesome. And hey it comes with Yu Jing and a new Ninja sculpt…was I really going to pass this up?!

So for a quick unboxing; here’s the box (Ooooo, Ahhhhh).

Inside the box you get some tokens and templates.

Here’s the booklet with background on the units and factions, the learning scenarios, a story to explain the reason behind the scenarios, how to expand to 300 points (using TAGs, of course), and a little hobby guide for assembling and painting.

Here’s the minis and dice (sweet sweet dice).

And the terrain pack, which should be released later this year by itself (will need to get another one of those).

Over the next few posts I’m going to be going over the terrain and the minis, next post will be the terrain, then Haqqislam and finally Yu Jing. And as a shameless plug I will be running demos at Good Games Town Hall Sydney with my mate daboarder (the other Sydney Warcor) on Thursday the 28th of July and Thursday the 4th of August both nights starting at 6pm!

Cheers!

AT-43 Terrain; Elysian Ice Crystals

Recently in our Infinity club we’ve been working on a table using terrain from Spartan Scenics. You would have seen several posts of me building the terrain and various set ups we’ve had of the terrain over the course of the slow grow.

One thing you would also have seen is that it has a snowy mat, and we’ve been gearing up to make this set an ice world set. One of the guys has been making some slight icy hills for the board, but I wanted to track down some cool unique terrain for it. So I present to you the AT-43 Elysian Ice Crystals!

They come in two varieties, and each set as one of each; a small one and a large one.

As you can see they take up about 3”x3”, and we’re going to use them as impassable trees; so low vis and saturation zone but you can’t move through them.

Much like the bunker, these guys are really difficult to track down, but I managed to find a couple of sources to get some for myself and the club.

I did not go overboard I swear

Cheers!

Shootin Iron

Recently, as Sync can tell you, I've been having this strange western vibe going on. Maybe as a break from Infinity...however I now have a small side project on my hands.

Watch this space!

Infinity Terrain for the FLGS 5

The end of the Spartan Scenics?!

Hahahaha all the MDF terrain!!!

We finally, and this time as a club, got together and built the rest of the Spartan Scenics terrain from the core kit, as you can see from the pictures above! The most interesting add on are these two funny room structures.

A very unusual shape
What’s strange about it, much like the large room, is this strange angled part that I didn’t realise what was for until we built it. It also can have the acrylic computer screen in it, but we’ve left that out for painting.

OMG it allows a straight corridor, hex room and these funny rooms to fit in nicely together!

However putting the roofs on I’ve realised the folly of my ways by gluing every third railing in place for the hex roofs; derp!

That aside I build a sample structure of what the whole unit looks like together to try and maximise space taken up…

…so that’s about a 4 foot across, so not bad! Only issue is that we need to get some extra doors for it.

...so I got more of those doors and bulkheads…

Cheers!
