Recently I posted up my slowly growing Arbite force, and
finally I can add a unique unit to it; the Detective!
Detectives are Arbites generally distrusted by the lower
ranking members of the Adeptus Arbites, and seen as a necessary evil by the
higher ranking members. Unlike the investigators who rarely leave the
precincts, detectives regularly go out into the field, generally by themselves,
and a constantly operating under cover to solve crimes that require leg work
per say. Due to their constant exposure to the local populace the lower ranking
members of the Arbites distrust them, thinking them to be contaminated and not
as impartial as an Arbite needs to be.
Despite this distrust, Arbites who are in Execution
Squads don’t mind them, as they themselves are distrusted due to the fact they
are not fully loyal to the local command hierarchy and are known in times of
corruption of a Precinct to bare their arms on their own to root out heresy.
But that’s another story.
<please note that this is a tad made up on my behalf using the ideas gathered from official sources and unofficial sources who are trying to fill in the gaps!>
The model that I’ve decided to use is an Urban War
militia with pistol. Urban War is a range that has been on my radar for a while
however I never realised they were slightly smaller than GW minis. I chose the
bald headed one from the pack as I was going to use him as my Dark Hersey
Arbite Seeker character who was a former Delaque house member.
As
the pistol itself wasn’t very 40K, and in that unofficial codex detectives are
armed with bolt pistols, I did a simple gun swap.
Oh and I bought the Virdian commander and gave her a
plasma pistol because reasons. No seriously this is an amazing female military
figure…going to use her maybe as an Inquisitorial acolyte or something!
Cheers!
